Luke Roper began his life in Walsall Wood in the West Midlands, born to a talented dressmaker mother and a hardworking father. At the age of 12, he discovered his dual talents for football and sewing machines. By the age of 15, he was already crafting one-of-a-kind shirts for his friends, quickly earning a local legendary status. Lads from all corners of the area sought out his unique designs, adorning themselves in Luke's original, specially crafted pieces as they hit the clubs in the wild West Midlands.
At the age of 20, London beckoned, and the premier fashion university, Central St Martins, recognized Luke's talents. He pursued a degree in menswear design, honing his skills and formulating a plan with lifelong family friend Simon Poole. Together, they envisioned a project to create the finest menswear brand in the UK. Upon graduation, Luke joined forces with Deborah Poole to initiate the fledgling business, marking the commencement of their journey.
