Get kitted out for EURO 2016 in the best classic shirts!

With the Euros just around the corner, we’ve put together a top ten of classic shirts from EUROs gone by!

1996 England Home Gascoigne

Famous for ‘Football’s coming home’ and that legendary Gazza volley against Scotland, Euro ’96 on home soil was really something special.

Relive those good old days and celebrate Vardys winner in the final in style in this classic kit.

2008 Croatia Away

A stylish checked shirt that you may have missed as you were too busy raging at the ‘Wally with a Brolly’ Steve McClaren, as Croatia famously won 3-2 at Wembley to secure qualification for Euro 2008 and eliminate England in the process.

2000 Italy Home

Italy 2000 football

Fashionable, chic, sophisticated, blue – all words you associate with Italy. All captured in one of the most innovative football shirts of its time. The incredibly slim fit leaves no place to hide – you’ve been warned!

2004 Portugal Home

Known for goals, taking his shirt off, more goals and being not quite as good as Messi, there’s no doubt Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players to ever grace the game. However, even he has bad days at the office. The waterworks were in full flow for CR7 after losing in the 2004 final to minnows Greece – a memorable sight in a memorable shirt.

1992 Germany Away

Agerman football

Their first major tournament as a reunified country, Euro 1992 saw the mighty Germans attempt to blind their opposition into submission with this garish away kit. And it almost worked in fairness, they reached the final before losing to Denmark.

2000 Yugoslavia Home

One for the edgy, football hipsters. Wearing shirts from countries that exist is far too mainstream. Royal Blue home shirt as worn at Euro 2000 was the last tournament a team named Yugoslavia would ever compete in. Historic, political, cultured. Everyone will love you telling them all about it.

1992 France Home

Make some local mates around the grounds this summer by kitting yourself in an early 90s classic worn by greats such as Cantona and Blanc. Just keep the Joey Barton-esque French accent to a minimum – it doesn’t go down well!

2008 Spain Home

Toorrrressssssssssss. Back when Fernando was at his free scoring best he chipped in a finish that ushered in a period of Spanish dominance of International Football. Much like that goal and fresh prawn paella, the shirt he was wearing can be summed up in one word ‘Bloody tasty

2004 Greece Away

Hercules, Achilles, Perseus . . . Charisteas.  Back in 2004, Angelos Charisteas wrote his name in Greek Mythology by scoring the goal that gave Greece their finest footballing moment. That win in their famous white shirt prompted a party so big it bought down their whole economy (sort of).

1992 Denmark Home

Denmark 1992 football

Famous for not being Sweden, Denmark unfairly and unfortunately doesn’t get much time in the limelight. That wasn’t the case however when they beat the mighty Germans 2-0 to win Euro 92, all whilst kitted out in their home brand Hummel.
